Awaited privacy policy

Data collection

Awaited does not collect or send us your countdowns, usage information or device identifiers. The app has no accounts, advertising, tracking or third-party analytics. We do not receive your data or share it with other organisations.

Where your countdowns are stored

The names, dates, times, emoji and colours of your countdowns are saved on your device so the app and its widgets can show them. Anyone who can see your Home Screen, Lock Screen or watch face can see the countdowns you choose to show there.

From version 1.1, a copy is also kept in your own iCloud account, using Apple's iCloud key-value storage, so your countdowns appear on your other devices and come back if you reinstall the app. That copy is part of your iCloud account. Apple stores it under its own privacy policy, and we cannot see it. If you are not signed in to iCloud, your countdowns stay only on your device.

Apple Watch

If you use the Apple Watch app, your iPhone sends a copy of your countdowns to your paired watch using Apple's Watch Connectivity. The copy goes directly between your own devices and is not sent to us.

Deleting your countdowns and backups

You can edit or delete countdowns in the app. Deletions are sent to your watch and, through iCloud, to your other devices, and the countdown is removed from the copy in iCloud. A note that it was deleted (an identifier and the time, with none of its details) is kept so the deletion reaches your other devices.

Deleting the app removes what is saved on that device but not the copy in iCloud, which is what lets your countdowns come back if you reinstall. To clear that copy too, delete your countdowns in the app before deleting it. Offloading the app keeps its saved data.

Apple may include the app's saved data in device backups, depending on your settings. Backups are managed through your Apple device or account settings. We cannot access or delete them.

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use that information to respond and resolve your query.

For privacy questions or to request deletion of your support correspondence, email hello@connectdorset.com. There is no Awaited account to close, and we do not hold a copy of your countdowns.
